Titled after an old joke about profanity (you’ll get it) the birth of this episode came in the dark. A power outage brought into fine focus the difference between guessing what’s important during a crisis as in yesterday’s episode, vs. learning what’s important since the power was truly out, but safely, today. A dry-run crisis, if you will. You may find that even the seasoned among us (read: Old) can still get stuck reaching for the lightswitch or thinking about checking Twitter.
It’s a little unstrung today but an apocalypse can do that. Will
technology’s insatiable demands for energy and speed knock us out before all that nifty A.I. ever gets a chance? Environmental reports and ongoing exploitation combined with more aggressive energy creation have this ice age coming to a close rapidly. So, can technology save us from technology? Plus!
