Righteous motivations steer massive entities to the strangest ends! A quick visit to add on to episode 34’s net neutrality with some new information that came in last night and a longer look at Google’s funny actions. The DOJ and Google both work to appeal to the base consumer but in different ways. Their individual and different-pointing tacks both find an appeal to the masses as the way to go with furthering knowledge of their quests. Google’s march on such grassroots like behavior strikes me as an oddity I can’t shake.
Back to a long form on this visit to three bears in the news. The California State flag is mostly the unmistakable image of a bear; also appearing is a star and some words, but it’s the bears in the news that caught my attention and after an unpublished episode about the passions stirred by US Senate hearings last week, I thought it best to nab that energy and direct it here, to Net Neutrality since California just passed SB 822. Other bears include Tim Berners-Lee and Russia in the classic sense, as the bear who played with our power grid infrastructure. We cover some good ground!
We take the sad song of people losing faith in business entities these last few days and try to turn a corner; an empowering corner. The weekend brought into fine focus the injustices upon people, consumers and first-responders! We certainly play ball with the Verizon vs firemen story about throttling but twist it in a way that I hope will get you inspired to stop and think and act and promote more thinking or action per Snakebite’s preferred method!
Can we get a groundswell, people? The cafe here has some very revolutionary contemporaries in Europe who do what we used to “did.” They get rowdy when something’s wrong. Did we get sold the busy dream and lose the time it takes to organize ourselves to protest effectively against the time that’s taken from us?
